21.16. Adjustment of a lay brakeBack brakes are automatically regulated, therefore adjustment while in service is not required. Adjustment is necessary for spending only after replacement of cables of a lay brake, supports, brake pads or brake disks.
Check up on absence of leaks of a brake liquid from working brake system and its serviceability.
The lay brake is necessary for regulating after removal of the central console and facing of a lay brake.

Check of adjustment of a cable of a lay brake consists in serial pressing by an edge of a screw-driver of the lever of a cable of a lay brake from one emphasis (fig. 15–36) to another (fig. 15–37).
If in the course of check the lever of a cable of an opposite support moves from an emphasis the cable is excessively tense, therefore it is necessary to adjust it.
Press some times a brake pedal against the stop.

Special key 3343 weaken an adjusting nut of fastening of the jack on draught of the lever of a lay brake until both levers of a cable of a lay brake will not concern an emphasis on a support (fig. 15–34 see). Then tighten an adjusting nut till the moment of the beginning of moving of both levers of a cable. Two persons should carry out this work.
Rotate an adjusting nut of fastening of the jack on draught of the lever of a lay brake until one lever on one support will not rise from an emphasis (fig. 15–37 see).
Repeatedly check up adjustment of a cable of a lay brake.
