21.4. The general recommendations about operation and repair of antiblocking system of brakes and electronic system of stabilisation
Antiblocking system of brakes (ABS) and electronic system of stabilisation of course stability (ESP) while in service do not demand service.
The qualified mechanic should spend check, removal, installation and repair only.
Before carrying out of repair work define malfunction by means of self-diagnostics system.
For repair use only firm spare parts.
Take spare parts from packing directly ahead of their installation.
For rubbing of details use only безворсововые fabrics.
Before separation of elements of brake system completely clear a place of separation and area adjoining to it. Do not use aggressive liquids (for example, gasoline).
The brake liquid should not contact to mineral oils. Even the small amount of mineral oil will spoil a brake liquid and will put out of action brake system.
After repair of a hydraulic drive of brakes remove from it air.
At work brake pads the dust which contains asbestos, unhealthy is formed, therefore at clearing brake pads do not use compressed air and do not inhale a dust.
After installation new brake pads should be earned extra. The first 200 km of run try to avoid sharp braking.
Корродированные brake disks cause vibrating effect which does not disappear at long braking at braking. In this case brake disks are subject to replacement.
The brake liquid used in a hydraulic drive, is poisonous, therefore at its hit on a skin it is necessary to wash out carefully this place water. If the liquid on imprudence has got to eyes or in an organism, it is necessary to address immediately to the doctor. Inflammable liquids can light up even from contact to hot knots of the car. The brake liquid dissolves a paint and plastic, therefore at liquid hit on a paint and varnish covering of the car wash out its considerable quantity of water. A brake liquid гигроскопична (absorbs a moisture from air), therefore it cannot be stored in open ware.
At open hydraulic system of brakes do not use compressed air and do not move the car.
At colouring and car drying the electronic control device can be heated up quickly to temperature 95 °С, at heating within 2 hours the temperature should not exceed 85 °С.
At installation it is necessary to use the new plug 5 (fig. 15-2 see).
Before plug installation put in an aperture of a rotary fist lubricant paste G 000 650. Installation is made by simple cave-in in a rotary fist.
