21.18. Prorolling of a hydraulic drive of brakes

Use only fresh brake liquid DOT 4.
Prorolling of brake system is spent with application of the block of prorolling V.A.G 1869. Connect the prorolling block according to the instruction on application.
Remove a dustproof cap from the union of prorolling of a support, clear it and put on it one end of a pure transparent hose, its other end lower in the capacity partially filled with a brake liquid. The capacity should be not less than on 300 mm above the prorolling union. Thanks to it air hit in a support through a carving of the union of prorolling is prevented.
Unscrew on a half-turn the union of prorolling of a corresponding brake support and wait until the union will not leave a brake liquid without air vials then screw up the prorolling union.
Prorolling of brakes carry out in the following sequence:
1 – a back right support of a brake;
2 – a back left support of a brake;
3 – a forward right support of a brake;
4 – a forward left support of a brake.
On cars with electronic system of stabilisation (ESP) prorolling of brakes carry out in the following sequence:
1 – a back left support of a brake;
2 – a forward right support of a brake;
3 – a back right support of a brake;
4 – a forward left support of a brake.

Replacement of a brake liquid (each 2 years)
The brake liquid гигроскопична (absorbs a moisture from air), therefore a liquid, stored in open ware is not recommended to use long time.
The brake liquid should not contact with mineral oils. Even the small amount of mineral oil does unsuitable a brake liquid for use in brake system.
Use only fresh brake liquid DOT 4.
Replace a brake liquid by means of the block of prorolling V.A.G 1869. Connect the prorolling block according to the instruction on application.
Open a compensatory tank of hydraulic system of brakes and fill with its brake liquid to exclude air hit in brake system from a tank.
Remove a dustproof cap from the union of prorolling of a back right support, clear it and put on it one end of a pure transparent hose, its other end lower in the capacity partially filled with a brake liquid.
Start up the engine and unscrew on some turns the prorolling union on a support of brakes. Pressing a brake pedal, supersede a brake liquid from a compensatory tank until liquid level will not fall to a place of connection of a hose of giving of a liquid to coupling.
Collect a following liquid in the container. Screw up the prorolling union.
Connect the prorolling block according to the instruction on application of the block of prorolling V.A.G 1869.
On cars with a mechanical transmission establish a pure transparent hose on the union of prorolling of the working cylinder of coupling, unscrew the union on some turns and merge about 100 sm3 of a brake liquid. Screw up the prorolling union.
The further actions consistently execute on following supports:
1 – back right;
2 – back left;
3 – forward right;
4 – forward left.
Remove a dustproof cap from the union of prorolling of a support, clear it and put on it a pure transparent hose, its other end lower in the capacity partially filled with a brake liquid.
Unscrew on some turns the union of prorolling and merge about 250 sm3 of a brake liquid.
The arriving fresh brake liquid washes off the rests of an old brake liquid in a hydraulic contour of brake system.
Screw up the prorolling union.
Disconnect a hose from a compensatory tank of brake system.
Check up the effort applied on a pedal. The free wheeling of a pedal of a brake should make 1/3 courses of a pedal.
