15.8. Removal and installation of an automatic transmission

Removal
Before a detachment of the storage battery find out, whether there is at you a code of inclusion of a radio receiver.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the storage battery.

Unscrew four screws and remove an engine casing (fig. 3.1–41 see).

Loosen the collars also remove the air branch pipe which is connecting a flowmeter of air and soaking up the pipeline (fig. 3.1–42 see).
Disconnect an electric socket of the ljamda-gauge on the right side of a motor compartment, take a half of a socket from an arm and move it together with a wire downwards.
Disconnect an electric socket of the ljamda-gauge on the left side of a motor compartment, take a half of a socket from an arm and move it together with a wire downwards.
Unscrew nuts of fastening of the left and right reception exhaust pipes accessible from above.

Disconnect draught of management 1 (fig. 9–12) from the vacuum block.
Remove from the vacuum block a vacuum hose 3.
Unscrew a nut 2 and remove the vacuum block.

All models
Disconnect an electric socket of a spark plug of the fifth cylinder.
Disconnect an electric socket from the gauge of temperature of cooling liquid G2.

Remove protective casings in a back part of a motor compartment (fig. 9–13).
Prepare the left adapter
10–222А/4 and the load-lifting device 10–222А with captures for engine support.
Establish an adapter 10–222А/4 and the load-lifting device 10–222А on racks and connect them together.
Fix capture of the load-lifting device on the engine.
Rotating the screw of the elevating device, pull capture so that the engine weight was perceived by the elevating device.

Unscrew screws and remove a casing semi wedge a belt (fig. 9–14).

The prevention
Chalk, marker or paint note a rotation direction semi wedge a belt. If at installation полиwedge the belt rotates in other party, it will lead to its destruction.

Face шестигранным a key on 10 mm loosen the a tension semi wedge a belt, having turned the tension mechanism clockwise before combination of apertures 1 and 2 (fig. 9–15).
On fig. by 9-15 arrow the rotation direction шестигранного a key for tension reduction semi wedge a belt is shown.
Fix the tension mechanism in this position, having inserted into an aperture a steel core in diameter of 5 mm.
Remove полиwedge a belt from pulleys.
Remove forward pulleys.

Release clamps and remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment (fig. 3.1–1 see).

Unscrew two bolts and remove an arm of the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment (fig. 3.1–2 see).
Disconnect fastening of an air line from the generator.

Unscrew a nut 1 and a bolt of 2 fastenings of the generator (fig. 9–16).
Move the generator aside, disconnect from it wires and remove the generator.

Disconnect from a starter an electric socket, then unscrew a nut 1 (fig. 9–17) and disconnect from a starter a positive wire.
Unscrew two bolts shown by arrows on fig. 9–17, fastenings of a starter and, being careful, remove a starter.

Through the aperture which has opened after removal of a starter, unscrew three bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer (fig. 9–18). For access to each subsequent bolt it is necessary to turn a cranked shaft of the engine in a direction of its working rotation on 1/3 turns. To turn a cranked shaft it is necessary the central bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.

Unscrew and remove thermofilters of the right and left shaft of a drive (fig. 9–19).
Unscrew shaft of a drive from transmission flanges.

From below the car unscrew nuts of fastening of a reception exhaust pipe to the forward muffler (fig. 9–20).

Unscrew nuts (fig. 9–21) fastenings connecting муфт pipes of system of release.
Being careful, remove a forward exhaust pipe with catalytic neutralizer and ljambda-gauges. Do not damage the wires going to ljambda-gauges.
Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove a thermofilter located behind a transmission.

Unscrew two bolts (fig. 9–22), крепящие arms for support of pipelines, to an automatic transmission.
Unscrew three bolts of fastening of the bottom part of a transmission to the engine.

Unscrew a bolt of fastening of pipes to a transmission, move pipes aside and close the open ends of pipes stoppers (fig. 9–23).
Disconnect an electric socket of the gauge of acceleration G38 and the multipurpose switch from an automatic transmission (fig. 9–23 see).

Take a clamp, turn clockwise and disconnect from a transmission a 8-contact electric socket (fig. 9–24).
Unscrew bolts 2 and remove an arm of a cable of the selector from an automatic transmission.
Unscrew a nut, remove a washer and, having pulled, remove a cable of the selector from a control lever an automatic transmission.
Release wires from clips on a transmission.
Fix on a stationary jack the special adaptation, establish under a transmission and lift a jack so that the transmission weight was perceived by a jack.
In the absence of special adaptations for transmission removal support a transmission a jack through wooden брусок.

Unscrew bolts of fastening of a support 1 (fig. 9–25) fastenings of the jack of a twisting moment of the engine and, moving a support, remove it.
Unscrew bolts and remove the left and right support of a transmission.
Unscrew bolts of fastening of a transmission to a back part of the bottom frame. The bottom frame should settle down on 80 mm below a body. If necessary partially unscrew bolts of fastening of an arm of the bottom frame.
Being careful, lower a back part of a transmission a little.
Move drive shaft forward and a soft wire adhere them to a body.
Supporting a forward part of a transmission, unscrew the top bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.

Take away a transmission from the engine, having pressed mount the hydrotransformer to the engine (fig. 9–26).
Being careful, lower a transmission and take it from under the car.
Fix the hydrotransformer on the engine.

Installation
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
At engine installation it is necessary to replace on new self-locking nuts and bolts which tightened доворачиванием on a certain corner, and also sealing rings and linings.
At installation check up presence of the aligning plugs defining interposition of the engine and a transmission.

Check up correctness of installation of the hydrotransformer. If the distance between a basic surface for bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer and a surface картера makes 19 mm, means, the hydrotransformer is established correctly. At incorrectly established hydrotransformer this distance makes about 14 mm (fig. 9–27). At wrong installation of the hydrotransformer its leading part and the pump of an automatic transmission collapses.
Check up, that at transmission installation tubes, wires and electric sockets have not been clamped.

Establish and screw in bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine (fig. 9–28).
At connection of tubes to a transmission it is necessary to use new sealing rings, preliminary having greased with their thin layer of technical vaseline.
Replace bolts М14 of fastening of a transmission to the bottom frame.
Check up installation of a cable of the selector.
Be convinced that the release system is correctly established on suspension brackets and does not concern bodies at its rocking.
Check up oil level in an automatic transmission.
Check up correctness of connection of electric sockets.
Connect "a weight" wire to the storage battery.
Include a radio receiver and enter into it a code.
Lift glasses electric glass lifts upwards against the stop, then press all switches стеклоподъемника once again, at least for 1 second, in position of closing for activation of the block of management glass lifts.
Establish time for hours.
