4.4. Replacement of a gear belt

Removal

The prevention
Before removal, using a chalk, a marker or a paint, note a direction of rotation of a gear belt. If at installation of the gear belt which was in the use it rotates in other party, it will lead to its destruction.

At ввертывании the special tool 14 (fig. 3.2–17) makes 2079 moment of an inhaling of the central bolt 350 Нм, without the special tool 2079 – 450 Нм.

Before a detachment of the storage battery find out, whether there is at you a code of inclusion of a radio receiver.
All clips and collars which at engine removal will be damaged or cut, it is necessary to replace on new at engine assemblage.
The storage battery is located under a luggage space floor.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the storage battery.
Turning a cranked shaft of the engine in a direction of its working rotation for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, establish the piston of the first cylinder in the top dead point (ВМТ).

Turn out the screw of fastening of the left ventilating lattice of a bumper (the right lattice is thus released also) and remove lattices (fig. 3.2–1 see).

Turn out screws and remove the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment (fig. 3.2–2 see)
Open the crane in the radiator basis, put on the crane a hose in diameter of 12 mm and merge cooling liquid from a radiator.

Loosen the a tension semi wedge a belt for what a wrench for шестигранник turn the tension mechanism upwards (fig. 3.2–18).

Turn out screws and remove an engine casing (fig. 3.2–3 see).
Release a clip of fastening of a hose of system of cooling to the right casing of a gear belt.
Loosen the collars also remove the branch pipe of an air inlet connecting the air filter and the case of throttle knot.

Turn out bolts and remove upwards a casing of the fan of a radiator (fig. 3.2–19). Disconnect electric sockets from the engine of the fan of a radiator.
If the fan of a radiator with вязкостной муфтой is established, turn out it.

Keeping a pulley of the fan of a radiator from проворачивания a special key 3212, a usual key unscrew a bolt of fastening of a pulley. Keep in mind that the bolt has the left carving, therefore for a reversing it is necessary to rotate it clockwise (fig. 3.2–20).
Lift upwards the fan of a radiator and remove it from the car.
Unscrew a forward right support of the engine.

Loosen the collars also disconnect hoses of system of cooling from the engine (fig. 3.2–21).
Loosen the a collar, disconnect a hose of system of cooling from the top part of a radiator and turn it clockwise.
Turning a cranked shaft of the engine in a direction of its working rotation for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, establish the piston of the first cylinder in ВМТ.

Check up: the label on a pulley of a cranked shaft should be combined with the index on a casing (fig. 3.2–22).

Using the special adaptation 3197 (fig. 3.2–23), fix a pulley of a cranked shaft from проворачивания and unscrew on one turn (but do not unscrew completely) a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
Unscrew the gauge case in a back part of the right head of the block of cylinders.

Turn out bolts and remove the left casing of a gear belt (fig. 3.2–24).
Remove the right casing of a gear belt fixed to a pulley semi wedge of a belt, having removed a pulley.

Turn out six screws of fastening of the right casing of a gear belt and remove a casing (fig. 3.2–25).

Serially, using the special adaptation 3036 (fig. 3.2–26), fix a pulley of a camshaft from проворачивания and turn out on three turns (but do not unscrew completely) a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a camshaft.

Turn out a rotor of the gauge from the left head of the block of cylinders (fig. 3.2–27).
Close ledges of camshafts special glasses with flanges (the special adaptation 3341).

Loosen the a tension of a gear belt for what loosen the a nut of fastening of a tension roller also turn a roller downwards (fig. 3.2–29).
Manually compress the shock-absorber of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
Using a chalk, a marker or a paint, note a direction of rotation of a gear belt.
Remove a gear belt from camshaft pulleys.
For проворачивания pulleys of camshafts remove them from landing cones for what knock with a plastic or wooden hammer from an underside of pulleys.
Turn out four bolts of fastening of a pulley гасителя fluctuations.
Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
Remove гаситель fluctuations, thus the pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft should remain on a place.
Remove a gear belt.
Do not turn a cranked shaft of the engine at the removed gear belt as pistons can hit about valves.

Preventions
1. Do not overwind and do not bend a gear belt. Exclude hit on a gear belt of the oil, cooling liquid or fuel.
If teeths of a gear belt выкрошились, probably, has jammed the distributor of ignition, the water pump, the oil pump or a camshaft.
2. The gear belt can be broken off on the working engine as a result of blow of pistons about valves therefore valves can be bent. Check up backlashes of valves. On погнутых valves backlashes will be much more demanded.
If the external surface of a gear belt is considerably worn out or stratified, check up a condition of a racetrack of single pulleys.
If one party of a belt is worn out or damaged only, check up directing a gear belt and alignment of pulleys of a gear belt.
   In the presence of any defects on a gear belt it is necessary to replace it.

Installation and tension adjustment
Establish a gear belt on a pulley of a cranked shaft.
Screw and tighten by hand four bolts of fastening гасителя fluctuations.
Grease with a thin layer of engine oil a carving and a basic surface of a head of a bolt and screw in a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft. For an exception проворачивания a pulley fix its special adaptation.
Be convinced that pulleys of a gear belt of camshafts are freely turned on cones, i.e. bolts of fastening of pulleys are turned out on one turn.
Establish a gear belt on all pulleys, including a pulley of the water pump.
Tighten a nut of fastening of a tension roller of a gear belt so that the clown of a roller still it was possible to turn.
Tighten four bolts of fastening гасителя fluctuations.

Adjust a tension of a gear belt, having turned special adaptation V-159 clockwise the clown of a tension roller before achievement of the demanded length of the shock-absorber (fig. 3.2–30 and 3.2–31).

The length of the shock-absorber of a gear belt on the cold engine should make 136–139 mm, on hot – 126–129 mm.
Remove special glasses with the flanges, closing ledges of camshafts.
Establish a gauge rotor in a back part of a head of the block of cylinders and fix its bolt (fig. 3.2–27 see).
Turn manually a cranked shaft of the engine on two turns.
The further installation spend to sequences, return to removal.
