4.1. The general data

On cars eight-cylinder V-shaped engines (V8) with liquid cooling are established. Engines have in a motor compartment is longitudinal.
Engine cylinders are cast from grey pig-iron for a single whole with the block of cylinders. Heads of the block of cylinders are made of an easy alloy and fasten to the block of cylinders bolts. In a head of the block of cylinders запрессованы steel directing plugs and saddles of valves. To the bottom part of the block of cylinders of the engine the oil pallet in which flows down the oil necessary for greasing and cooling of the engine fastens.
In engines the scheme of a cross-section stream at which топливовоздушная the mix arrives in engine cylinders on the one hand the engine is used, and the fulfilled gases leave on the other hand the engine. At such design filling of cylinders топливовоздушной a mix and removal of products of combustion considerably improves.
On each cylinder it is established on two inlet and two final valves. On each section of the block of cylinders the separate head of the block with two camshafts is established. One camshaft operates inlet valves, another – final. The drive of the camshafts operating final valves, is carried out by one gear belt. The camshaft operating inlet valves, is put in action from a camshaft operating final valves.
Backlashes in valves are regulated automatically with use of hydraulic pushers, therefore manual adjustment is not required.
For oil giving to rubbing surfaces of the engine the oil pump with a drive from a cranked shaft serves. Under pressure oil moves on channels to bearings of cranked and distributive shaft.
The water pump is located in a forward part of the engine and put in action by a gear belt. Keep in mind that the system of cooling of the engine should be filled all year long by a mix of antifreeze and water with the low maintenance to exhaust.
Preparation and ignition in engine cylinders топливовоздушной mixes is carried out by a control system of the engine which while in service does not demand adjustments. The corner of an advancing of ignition and frequency of rotation of idling are regulated by a control system of the engine. At maintenance service carrying out it is necessary to replace spark plugs and filtering element of the air filter.

The prevention
The radiator fan can join after a stop of the engine and ignition deenergizing, therefore at work on the hot engine be careful. That the radiator fan has not joined, disconnect from the engine of the fan of a radiator an electric socket.
