7.5. A fuel tank

Preventions
Fuel tank remove from below the car. For support of a fuel tank use a jack.
Even in an empty fuel tank there are steams of fuel which are explosive, therefore be careful.

At installation of a fuel tank pay attention to various length of tapes (fig. 4.1–3).

Before a detachment of the storage battery find out, whether there is at you a code of inclusion of a radio receiver.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire weights from the storage battery.
Merge fuel from a fuel tank.
Remove casings of the gauge of level of fuel / of the fuel pump, located with the left and right party under a carpet covering of a luggage carrier.
Disconnect electric sockets from the gauge of level of fuel / of the fuel pump and move them aside.
Remove back wheels.
Unscrew four bolts of fastening of the cross-beam located under mufflers.
Unscrew fastening nuts муфт connections of pipes of system of release and disconnect back section of system of release.
Remove two thermoprotective panels from two parties of a back axis.
From below the car unscrew casings of a fuel tank from two parties of the car.
Disconnect clamps of a cable of a lay brake and move a cable aside.

Front-wheel cars
Using the special adaptation for compression of springs, serially compress springs of a back suspension bracket and remove them.
Establish under a back frame a jack with a basic plate and support a frame a jack.

Unscrew four bolts of fastening of the bottom back frame (fig. 4.1–4).
If the fuel tank acts in film for long time after its removal fix the bottom frame bolts.

All-wheel drive cars
Remove a back axis.

All models
Loosen the fastening of a double collar of fastening of the bottom hose between a fuel tank and a tube of giving of fuel, thus the bottom hose should remain on a fuel tank.

Loosen the collars 1 (fig. 4.1–5) also disconnect a tube connecting the broad chamber with a tube of giving of fuel, thus a connecting tube should remain on a giving tube.
Mark other tubes of a fuel tank and disconnect them.

Disconnect a tube 1 (fig. 4.1–6) from the fuel filter.
Disconnect a tube 2 returns of fuel.
Disconnect electric sockets from the left and right party of an arm of a cross-section beam for fastening of a fuel tank.
Unscrew nuts and remove a cross-section beam.

Unscrew forward tapes of 1 and 2 fastenings of a fuel tank (fig. 4.1–7).
Establish under the right section of a fuel tank a jack with a basic plate and lift a jack so that the weight of a fuel tank was perceived by a jack.
Unscrew back tapes of 4 and 5 fastenings of a fuel tank (fig. 4.1–7).
With the assistant lower a fuel tank, thus be careful not to bend fuel tubes.
Unscrew a diagonal tape.

Installation
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.
Be convinced that cables of a lay brake are located correctly and fixed by clamps.

Check up, that the fuel tubes going to a fuel tank through an aperture in a body, have been located, as is shown in drawing 4.1–8.
Connect "a weight" wire to the storage battery.
Start up the engine and check up tightness of the power supply system.
Include a radio receiver and enter into it a code.
