7.7. An accelerator cable

Removal
Remove the bottom casing of the panel from outside the driver.
Take in deepening for feet of the driver transitive заглушку from a partition of a motor compartment.

Disconnect a cable of an accelerator from the top part of a pedal of an accelerator (fig. 4.1–15)

Cars with an automatic transmission
Disconnect an electric socket from the mechanism of compulsory inclusion of a hill-climbing gear.
Remove the protective casings located in the left back part of a motor compartment.

Turn away four screws and remove an engine casing (fig. 4.1–16; 4.1–17).

Cars with the cruise-control

Disconnect a vacuum hose 2 from the vacuum chamber of system of the cruise-control (fig. 4.1–18).
Unscrew two bolts and remove from an arm the vacuum chamber of system of the cruise-control.

Cars with six-cylinder engines

Using рожковый a key on 8 mm, disconnect a tip of a cable of 1 accelerator from the lever of a drive throttle заслонки (fig. 4.1–19).
Take a spring clip of 3 fastenings of a cover of a cable of an accelerator to an arm 2 and take a cable from an arm 2.
Using a screw-driver edge as the lever, remove a spring clamp 5.
Extend an accelerator cable in a motor compartment.

Cars with eight-cylinder engines

Disconnect a tip of a cable of an accelerator from the lever of a drive throttle заслонки (fig. 4.1–20).

Take out a spring clip 2 (fig. 4.1–21) and the rubber plug 1 with a cover of a cable 4 accelerators from an arm 3.
Extend an accelerator cable in a motor compartment.

Installation
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.
Do not suppose excesses of a cable of an accelerator.
Adjust an accelerator cable.
Adjustment of a cable of an accelerator
The help of the second mechanic is necessary for adjustment of position of a cable of an accelerator.
Take out a spring clip and the rubber plug with a cover of a cable of an accelerator from an arm.
Press an accelerator pedal against the stop and adjust position of a cable of an accelerator so that throttle заслонка it was completely open. Position of a cable of an accelerator is regulated by moving of the rubber plug on a cable cover. In this position insert the rubber plug of a cover and fix its spring clip.

The note
At installation it is necessary to use new sealing rings and linings.
