17.4. The main reverse gearRemoval
At presence unscrew four bolts and remove the cross-section beam located under pipes of system of release.
Unscrew nuts, крепящие connecting clips of exhaust pipes. Disconnect and remove back section of system of release.

Check up, whether there are labels on карданном to a shaft and a flange of the main reverse gear for their combination (fig. 11–3 see). In the absence of labels put them.
Loosen the bolts of fastening of flanges карданного a shaft to flanges of a transmission and the main reverse gear (fig. 11–3 see).

Unscrew bolts and remove a thermofilter located over карданным shaft.
Unscrew bolts of fastening of a flange карданного a shaft to a flange of the main reverse gear.
At presence release a clamp of fastening of a cable of a lay brake.
Remove a thermofilter of the left shaft.
Unscrew bolts of fastening of internal SHRUS of back shaft of a drive to flanges of the main reverse gear.
Establish under the main reverse gear a jack with adaptation V.A.G 1359/2.

Unscrew bolts of fastening 1 and 2 main reverse gears to a cross-section back beam 3 (fig. 11–8).
Being careful, lower the main reverse gear and take it from below the car.
Installation
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
In a flange of a transmission and the main reverse gear clear a carving for fastening bolts карданного a shaft.
Check up, that on flanges карданного a shaft there was no greasing. Remove from sealing linings a protective film and establish linings on flanges the sticky party to карданному to a shaft.
Lift the main reverse gear so that it was possible to attach back shaft of a drive to flanges of the main reverse gear. Screw in, but do not tighten completely bolts of fastening of shaft of a drive to flanges of the main reverse gear.
Lift the main reverse gear, establish into place and fix bolts 1 and 2 on a cross-section back beam (fig. 11–8 see).
At installation карданного a shaft for a disbalance exception combine labels on a flange карданного a shaft with labels on flanges of a transmission and the main reverse gear (fig. 11–3 see).
Screw in fastening bolts карданного a shaft to flanges of the main reverse gear.
Tighten bolts of fastening of shaft of a drive to flanges of the main reverse gear.
Check up oil level in the main reverse gear.
Check up, that the release system has been located freely and did not concern bodies.
