10.2. Check of system of prestarting heating of diesel enginesCheck conditions
Pressure of an onboard network of the car should be not below 11,5 Century
The control system of the engine should be serviceable.
Safety locks in a chain of giving of pressure to candles накаливания should be serviceable.
Check
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect an electric socket from the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid. In this condition the control system of the engine considers that the engine cold, and at ignition inclusion will occur its preliminary warming up.
Disconnect electric sockets of wires from candles накаливания.
Connect the voltmeter a positive conclusion to a wire from candles накаливания, a negative conclusion to "weight". Include ignition and be convinced that pressure to candles moves in a corresponding interval of time.
At temperature of air 20 С time intervals of giving of pressure to candles накаливания (the control lamp burns) should make 5 with. Time of burning of a control lamp increases at lower temperature and decreases at its increase. If pressure moves to candles накаливания, means, the relay and electroconducting are serviceable.

Check up each candle накаливания (fig. 5.2–1) on presence of mechanical damages. The burnt or destroyed tips of a candle накаливания testify to bad dispersion of fuel by an atomizer. In this case it is necessary to check up atomizers and if necessary to replace.
If on candles накаливания there are no mechanical damages, check up their electric resistance which should be less than 1 Ohm.
Working capacity of candles накаливания can be checked up, submitting on them pressure 12 V.Pri it they should heat up in regular intervals for a demanded interval of time. Thus it is necessary to observe precautions:
1. To hold a candle накаливания a special clip or flat-nose pliers.
2. The electric feed circuit of a candle накаливания should have the fuse.
3. After check the candle накаливания should be cooled within several minutes.
The serviceable candle накаливания heats up to reddening of the bottom part of an electrode during 5 with. At longer heating or heating not in bottom, and in an average part the candle is faulty and is subject to replacement.
