6.2. Removal and engine installation
Recommendations about engine removal
Before engine removal read all section.
If the engine remove for repair, it is necessary to choose first of all a place for work, to provide space for service and storage of spare parts. It is recommended to repair the engine on a car repair shop or in garage with an equal horizontal floor with a pure firm covering.
Before engine removal wash out the engine and a motor compartment. For engine removal use the load-lifting mechanism allowing safely to lift the power unit.
If you remove the engine for the first time, it is necessary to invite the skilled expert. Some works should be carried out with the assistant.
All clips and collars which at engine removal will be damaged or cut, it is necessary to replace on new at engine assemblage.
The engine remove forward without a transmission.
The merged cooling liquid is necessary for collecting and utilising.
Before a detachment of the storage battery find out, whether there is at you a code of inclusion of a radio receiver.
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the storage battery.
Remove a forward cross-beam.
Turn away screws and remove the protective casing located behind the air filter.

Loosen the collars also remove the air branch pipe connecting the air filter and an air pipe (fig. 3.4–1).
Turn away screws of fastening of the case of the air filter.

Turn away screws and remove an air pipe (fig. 3.4–2).

Loosen the collars (fig. 3.4–3) also disconnect hoses of system the coolings going to a heater.
Disconnect a vacuum hose and an electric socket of the grey colour, located about heater unions on a partition of a motor compartment, and take them aside.
Loosen the a collar also disconnect a hose of system of cooling from the union behind the fuel pump.
Loosen the collars also remove hoses from the distributive pipeline.
Loosen the collars, remove ventilation hoses картера and take them aside.
Turn out a bolt and remove the delivery pipeline from the pump of the amplifier of a steering.

Loosen the a tension semi wedge a belt, having turned a key the tension mechanism clockwise (fig. 3.4–4).
Remove полиwedge a belt.
Loosen the collars also disconnect from the engine hoses of system of cooling.
Loosen the collars also disconnect submitting топливопровод from the T-shaped splitter.
Turn out screws and remove a casing of the block of engine management. Release spring clips and remove partition consolidation in a back part of a motor compartment.
Remove protective casings in a back part of a motor compartment.
Lift upwards the left casing closing the block of management, and turn out the back right screw.
Turn out the remained screws of fastening.
Remove a casing of the block of management.
Disconnect electric sockets from the block of engine management and the block of management of a transmission, and also all electric sockets on a partition of a motor compartment.
Turn out screws and remove the basis of the block of engine management.

Turn out screws 1 and remove the relay block (fig. 3.4–5).
Disconnect an electric socket 2 and remove cases of 3 and 4 fuses.
Unscrew a clip of fastening of wires to a partition of a motor compartment and take wires aside.

Loosen the a collar also disconnect an air branch pipe from the generator (fig. 3.4–6).
Disconnect an electric socket of green colour from electromagnetic муфты, release a clamp and move wires aside.

Unscrew bolts of fastening of the compressor of the conditioner to an arm, then, without disconnecting pipelines from the compressor, move it aside and fix on a body (fig. 3.4–7).
Disconnect electric sockets and unscrew an arm of the gauge of height of the car under an arch of the left forward wheel.
Unscrew bolts and remove protective casings of shaft of a drive.
In the right part of a motor compartment disconnect electric sockets, release holders of wires, unscrew a nut of fastening of a tip of a wire of connection with "weight" and move wires aside.

Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove thermofilters of the right and left shaft of a drive (fig. 3.4–8).
Unscrew shaft of a drive from transmission flanges.

Unscrew a nut with a fillet of fastening of a finger of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket. Using a stripper of spherical hinges, take a finger of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever from a rotary fist (fig. 3.4–9).

Turn out nuts and bolts of fastening of the bottom lever of a forward suspension bracket and remove it from an arm (fig. 3.4–10).
Move rotary fists aside from the car and a soft wire fix drive shaft on a car body.
Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a suspension bracket of a reception exhaust pipe to an arm.
Unscrew connecting bolts of fastening of the left exhaust pipe.
Unscrew nuts of fastening of connecting clips of exhaust pipes and remove left and right каталитические neutralizers.
Unscrew bolts and remove a thermofilter карданного a shaft.
Unscrew bolts of fastening of a flange карданного a shaft, take away propeller a shaft to the main transfer and arrange it on a cross-section beam.
Unscrew a thermofilter of a cable of a control lever an automatic transmission.
Disconnect a cable of management of an automatic transmission, preliminary having established the selector lever in position P, and turn connecting муфту a cable clockwise.
Unscrew bolts and remove a forward arm of the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment.

Unscrew bolts and remove a back arm of the bottom mudguard of a motor compartment (fig. 3.4–11).

Turn out six nuts and bolts of fastening of support of the power unit (fig. 3.4–12).
Hook on captures of the load-lifting mechanism for the power unit and raise so that the weight of the power unit was perceived by the load-lifting mechanism.

Unscrew the bottom bolts (fig. 3.4–13) engine fastenings to the bottom frame. Be convinced that all electric wires, hoses, branch pipes and pipelines are disconnected from the engine.
Turn out three bolts of fastening of the jack of a twisting moment.
Raise the power unit and take it forward from a motor compartment.
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
At engine installation it is necessary to replace on new self-locking nuts and bolts which tightened доворачиванием on a certain corner, and also sealing rings and linings.
At installation check up presence of the aligning plugs defining interposition of the engine and a transmission.
For hydrotransformer fastening to a leading disk it is necessary to use bolts of an original design.

Check up correctness of installation of the hydrotransformer. If the distance between a basic surface for bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer and a surface картера makes 19 mm, means, the hydrotransformer is established correctly. At incorrectly established hydrotransformer this distance makes about 22 mm (fig. 3.4–14), the leading part of the hydrotransformer and the pump of an automatic transmission thus collapse.
Establish the engine into place and, having shaken it here and there, provide a correct arrangement on support.
Establish and adjust a cable of management of an automatic transmission.
Fill in in cooling system cooling liquid. The reuse of a cooling liquid is not supposed, if the head of the block of cylinders acted in film or the block of cylinders was replaced.
Check up, whether exhaust system elements on suspension brackets are correctly established and whether they concern bodies at rocking.
Fill in oil in system of the amplifier of a steering and remove from it air.
Fill in in the engine oil.
Check up correctness of connection of electric sockets.
Establish the conditioner compressor.
Establish and adjust a tension semi wedge a belt.
Establish a forward cross-beam.
Connect "a weight" wire to the storage battery.
Lift glasses electric glass lifts upwards against the stop. Then press all switches стеклоподъемника once again, at least for 1 second, in position of closing for activation of the block of management glass lifts.
Establish time for hours.
Before engine start-up check up presence and oil level in the engine.
